Teagan Leonard was a bright and determined young woman whose accomplishments reflected both her drive and her caring nature. At just 19, she had already earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and esthetician licenses—clear signs of her commitment to helping others and her passion for both healthcare and beauty. She had set her sights on becoming a nurse, a goal inspired by her deep compassion and desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Born into a close-knit and loving family, Teagan shared strong bonds with her parents, Vincent and Shauna Leonard, and her brothers, Gavin and Gage. Her family remembers her as someone who loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her connection with her brothers was built on quiet strength and shared experiences, while her relationship with her mother was filled with everyday moments of love, trust, and understanding.
Teagan also shared a special friendship with Aishwarya “Ash” Aryal, whom she embraced as the sister she had always wanted. Their bond brought her immense happiness and reflected her ability to form deep, meaningful connections with those around her.
Known for her adventurous spirit, Teagan loved to travel, explore new cultures, and try new foods. Whether she was on a new journey or simply spending time with loved ones, she approached life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Friends describe her as a joyful and magnetic presence—someone whose laughter was contagious and whose kindness made others feel seen and appreciated.
Her life, though tragically short, left a lasting impression. Teagan’s legacy is one of love, ambition, and resilience. She inspired those around her to pursue their dreams, cherish relationships, and embrace life fully.
She is survived by her parents, Vincent and Shauna; her brothers, Gavin and Gage; her extended family including her grandmothers Janice Smith and Patricia Leonard; and many friends who will carry her memory forward.
A visitation will be held at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m. Family, friends, and community members will gather to honor and remember a young woman whose light touched so many.
Though her journey ended far too soon, Teagan Alivia Leonard’s spirit continues to shine through the lives she impacted. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
